Absence Management

It is important in any organisation that absence levels are monitored as a high level of absence can be indicative of a wide variety of underlying problems (e.g. ill health, low morale, personal problems). This workshop will not only show how to deal with the issues promptly, reduce levels in absenteeism and thus reduce costs to the organisation, but it will also give advice on providing support to the individual(s) concerned where necessary.

Appraisal Skills

To be effective, an appraisal must be well-planned and structured and customised to meet individual company needs. Those with responsibility for conducting the appraisals should have the skills necessary to elicit, consolidate and evaluate relevant information. This workshop will highlight important aspects of delivering an effective appraisal.

Coaching and Mentoring

Coaching is a key characteristic of effective leadership. This programme supports managers in proactively developing their organisations and facilitating change by nurturing talent, enabling learning and development, and encouraging personal growth.

Discipline & Grievance

Are you aware of your responsibilities with regard to the Dispute Resolution Act? This legislation affects terms and conditions of employment with respect to disciplinary, dismissal and grievance procedures, as well as The Employment Tribunal Reform. This workshop will give a thorough overview of the legislation and its implications.
Interviewing Skills

One of the most important activities a manager can undertake is to ask questions of another person in order to gain information and make an assessment. This workshop is designed to give you the skills needed to conduct this process in an effective and efficient way.

Management Skills

When professionals are given new leadership responsibility their success depends on how quickly they learn people-orientated management skills to complement their expert knowledge. This workshop is valuable for both new and experienced managers who wish to gain or refine management skills while increasing the commitment and productivity of their teams. No previous management experience is required.

Managing Change

To effectively implement change an organisation must develop and administer a successful change strategy that integrates the contributions of both people and process. In this workshop you will gain knowledge and skills to guide people in your workplace through the process of change. From the variety of tools and techniques available you will build a customised change toolkit to put your change into practice.

Managing Difficult People

This workshop identifies why we find some people difficult to deal with and understanding what may be causing them to be “difficult”. Recognising common causes of misunderstanding. Communicating effectively and dealing with difficult situations in a positive way.
Motivational Techniques

It is important that the modern manager has an understanding of what motivates people because this has a direct impact on productivity within any organisation. This workshop is designed to give an understanding of motivational techniques and their applications.
Team Briefings

Staff briefing is a very important part of organisational communications. This workshop will give delegates the skills and knowledge they need to know how to select relevant information and to plan, prepare and deliver effective briefings within the workplace.

Telephone Techniques

Did you know that you can often “hear” when someone is smiling on the telephone?

We have all, at one time or another, experienced a poor reception when we have telephoned a company – is this happening in your business?

For many companies the telephone is the first point of contact with customers and, therefore, it is absolutely essential that the impression your people give is a good one.
