Summary of Estyn Inspection Report - 2004

At the end of November 2004 Estyn (Her Majesty’s Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales) conducted its second inspection of Qualtech’s government-funded training programmes. Six inspectors spent four days examining our processes, procedures and records and interviewing candidates, their employers and our staff. During their inspection the team examined generic aspects of our delivery such as the quality of education and training provided, the quality of leadership and management and judged the value for money provided by Qualtech. They also looked at two specific areas of delivery where we have the highest proportion of candidates:

  • Business, Management and Administration
  • Manufacturing

We were delighted with the results of their inspection which awarded our company the following grades:

“Learners develop very good work-related skills and knowledge. Many also make good progress towards achieving key skills qualifications. Others gain additional skills and knowledge beyond those anticipated at the start of their programme.”
