WHAT ARE NVQs?
NVQs are qualifications based on national standards set by industry. The Team Leading NVQ at Level 2 is awarded by NEBS Management.
The standards set define the skills and knowledge required for a particular area of work. Once the candidate has met these standards they are then competent and can get their NVQ certificate. NVQs are work-based qualifications and most of the evidence required will come from performance at work or in a realistic work environment.
All NVQs are structured in the same way and are made up of Units. A Unit represents an aspect of a job and each Unit is then made up of a number of Elements. Each element describes what you must be able to do and what you must know in order to become competent.
The Level 2 Team Leading NVQ covers the range of general leadership activities which team leaders working at this level are expected to carry out.
