Qualtech offers a series of training courses designed for those involved in health and safety issues – from managers to safety specialists and both existing and new employees.

Implemented over a full day and concluding with a thirty question multiple choice test, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace replaces the established Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace . If required we can arrange to tailor the qualification to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The course is suitable for employees at every level and candidates do not need any prior specialist knowledge because this qualification provides a strong introduction and detailed overview of good practice in health and safety in the workplace.

This Level 2 Award is a stand-alone qualification but is also a pre-requisite of both the Catering & Hospitality and Food & Drink Manufacturing Operations Foundation Modern Apprenticeship frameworks.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The overall aim of the course is to give participants practical information and advice which will enable employers and employees alike to ensure that their work activities are carried out safely thereby reducing risk to themselves and others.

The course follows a defined syllabus and is of at least 7 hours' duration. To gain a certificate at the end of the day participants are required to successfully complete a multiple choice examination paper.
