For business owners and managers of small and medium sized catering and hospitality businesses
From 1 January 2006, EU legislation requires all businesses producing food to have a documented food safety management system in place, based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles. Although effective in theory, HACCP can be a little difficult to establish in catering businesses because of the sheer number and variety of processes involved in preparing and serving food.
Qualtech now offers a new comprehensive food hygiene training course, developed by the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health (CIEH), which will help companies to address HACCP requirements and implement a system that meets their business needs.
CIEH qualifications are highly regarded by businesses throughout the UK and are widely recognised as the benchmark in safety training.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The CIEH Level 3 Award in Implementing Food Safety Management Procedures qualification examines HACCP and tools such as Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) and will be invaluable for a manager or proprietor of any food business in the UK.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The training gives participants an understanding of the effects of poor hygiene and provides them with the knowledge of how to implement good hygiene working practices.
