Qualtech and the University of Glamorgan Business School are working together to support and recognise the knowledge gained by participants undertaking NVQs in Administration at Level 3/4 and Management NVQs up to Level 5.
Glamorgan’s Business School is the best in Wales (The Guardian League Tables, 2004), delivering a wide range of programmes with an academic and a professional development focus. Students who enrol on these NVQ programmes with Qualtech will have access to University facilities, including library and online access to thousands of publications. On successful completion, you will be invited to attend the University’s graduation ceremony.

NVQs are based on nationally recognised standards for competency and focus on employees’ performance at work. They are entirely work related, have no age or previous qualifications barriers and you can complete the qualification at you own pace.
ADMINISTRATION NVQ s
Level 3 is targeted at people with a broad range of varied work activities performed in a variety of contexts. The work will often be technical and there is a considerable degree of responsibility and autonomy .
Level 4 is for people who have a wide range of complex technical or professional activities to perform in a variety of contexts, with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy
MANAGEMENT NVQ s
Level 3 is broadly aimed at supervisors who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of small teams. This qualification is intended to be the first stage in a progression leading to first line, middle and senior management, and may be used as a stepping stone to gain an NVQ in a more specialised area.
Level 4 qualifications are aimed at those individuals with more personal responsibility and autonomy in their management role than the Level 3 supervisors. Although people at this level are often referred to as "first line managers", individuals may find that the focus of their work could include managing projects or technical matters, as well as people .
The Level 5 qualifications are intended for those managers who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of other managers.
Achievement of an NVQ enables you to accumulate ‘credits’ that can contribute towards an appropriate Degree or Masters qualification at the University of Glamorgan.
